Hello everyone! My name is Regina Madriaga. You can call me Rej. I’ve been living here in Baguio for 5 years now. I was born and raised in Manila. I only came in Baguio to study in a university. While travelling to get here, my eyes instantly caught the magnificent pine trees and the city lights. The moment I stepped out of the bus to get here, I fell in love with the place. I knew that Baguio is not just a place to earn a degree. It was more than that. I knew Baguio is my home. I was captivated by the beauty of the place, the cool weather, and the nice people. This is also the place where I was destined to find the love of my life. So after staying here for quite some time, I finally decided to settle in here.

我虽然在马尼拉出生和长大，但是从我来到美丽的碧瑶大学学习到现在已经5年了。当我第一次来到这里的时候，目光就深深的被这里的大片松树，和城市灯光所吸引。当我踏出大巴门的那一刻，我就喜欢上了这里。我就知道，碧瑶将会是我未来的家。我被这座美丽的城市，凉爽的天气和友好的碧瑶人迷住了。所以，在生活了一段时间之后，我便决定以后就要在这里定居了。
I just started to work for Nanqi English and I am very excited to help the company grow and its students during their stay here in Baguio to study English. So if you’re going to study here in Baguio, don’t worry because I will always be here for you if you need help with anything!

If it is your first time to come here in Baguio or in the Philippines, I can be your tour guide and I can come with you to show you the tourist spots here in the area so you can also see the reason why I love it here. Ever heard of Burnham Park? Mines View? Session Road? We will visit all of those places in your first day here! We can go boating, horse riding, or just strolling, whatever you want! I can also take your beautiful pictures!
如果你是第一次来碧瑶，甚至是第一次来到菲律宾。我可以做你的导游，可以向你展现这里各种的旅游景点，这样你就能感受到我爱上这里的原因了。可曾听过Burnham Park？Mines View？Session Road？我们都会领略到这些著名的景点！我们还可以，划船，骑马，漫步等等任何你想得到的游玩项目!我还可以帮你拍照呦~
I can’t wait to see you try to ride jeepney for the first time! It is our primary mode of public transportation here because it is always available and cheap compared to riding a taxi. You will really enjoy it if you don’t mind scooting over and sitting side by side with the other passengers. I will teach you Filipino words for paying the fare, and when you need to get off the jeep.
我迫不及待的想要和你一起体验吉普尼，这是我们主要的公共交通工具，因为它比打车要便宜的多。只要你不介意和其他乘客并排坐在一起，你一定会喜欢它。我会告诉你当你要下车的时候，如何用菲律宾语来支付车票的。
If you need help in practicing your English speaking skills, you can always come to the office and we can talk about anything. Don’t be shy! I am very friendly and approachable. I am used to talking to a lot of people with different backgrounds. Maybe you can also help me learn Chinese!
If you don’t like the cafeteria food, we can go out and eat. I can suggest restaurants with really great food but… your treat because we don’t have the budget for that! Just kidding. We’ll see.

如果你不喜欢食堂里的食物，我们也可以出去吃的。我可以推荐当地有名的餐厅，但是。。。你请客呦，因为我们可没有这个预算。哈哈哈哈，开玩笑的！！！
If you’re sick, don’t wait another day and just wish that you will feel better soon. Come to me as soon as you don’t feel so good. We will ready some medicines in the office for your relief and we can go to the clinic or the hospital together.
So what are you afraid of? Baguio is a safe place and most people here are as sociable like me. If you come here I can guarantee you that you will not only improve your English speaking skills, but you will also earn a friend. I am really looking forward to meeting you. See you soon!
